However Susan Boyle has not had her head turned by the trappings of fame and fortune. Despite having the most pre-ordered album of all time with the I Dreamed A Dream CD, apparently she took a number 557 bus from her home in Blackburn to the nearby town of Bathgate to do her shopping.

At the start of this year, none of us had heard of Susan Boyle and now, in the run up to Christmas, her debut album "I Dreamed A Dream" is the most pre-ordered CD in Amazon's history.
